Anchor Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of the Anchor Android app. By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
The app
Anchor is a deep-work timer with a flat to-do list and a graph of your focus. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own use.
Your data
Your sessions, tasks and builds are stored on your device and are yours. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what does and doesn't leave your phone. Anchor has no account; you are responsible for keeping your own backups (the Export feature creates one), because we hold no copy.
Anchor Plus — the subscription
Anchor Plus is a yearly auto-renewing subscription processed through Google Play Billing. It unlocks additional themes, focus scenes, soundscapes, builds, insights and history; it never changes how quickly you earn anything, and the core timer, tasks and graph are never behind it.
- Free trial. First-time subscribers may be offered a free trial. If you do nothing, the subscription starts when the trial ends and Google Play charges the price shown to you at purchase. The price is shown in your local currency by Google Play before you confirm. You can cancel before the trial ends and you will not be charged. A free trial is offered once per user.
- Renewal. The subscription renews each year at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancelling. Manage or cancel in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions; Anchor's "Manage subscription" opens that page. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Anchor Plus until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Google Play under its own policies, not directly by us.
- If Plus ends. Plus features lock. Nothing is deleted: a Plus build leaves the yard but keeps every plank it earned, and resubscribing restores everything exactly.
- Restoring. "Restore purchases" (powered by RevenueCat) re-grants Anchor Plus on any device signed into the Google account that bought it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app beyond what's permitted by law.
- Attempt to circumvent the subscription or billing system.
- Redistribute the app's artwork, sounds or other content.
Soundscapes
The bundled soundscapes are CC0-licensed or generated by the app. Their sources are credited inside the app's files.
Not medical or professional advice
Anchor is a productivity tool. Nothing in it is medical, psychological or professional advice.
Termination
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Uninstalling does not cancel a subscription — cancel it in Google Play first.
No warranty
Anchor is provided "as is." We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted or error-free. Use it at your own discretion.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits any liability that can't legally be limited.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the update.
